How I Get To Know Purtier Placenta

I came here when I was looking up google on how long purtier placenta is running in New Zealand.. 15 years as I already know.. and from Alpha Labs. (btw I'm only starting to sell this product too just one month old into this)

I want to be very transparent to all here as I am part of this company Riway International with its single product purtier placenta. The purpose for me to write this is to create business opportunity (I cannot deny that), and more importantly to create an un-biased explanation on purtier placenta and Riway itself.

The company is Riway International Group.
And their product is Purtier Placenta from Alpha Labs in New Zealand.

The company Riway Int, is a Singapore company and Dr Lim is a Singaporean if you are curious. The company runs in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Taiwan, Thailand and is well on its way to breach other countries in the near future. Ironically, Riway's birth spurred from marketing sales in Malaysia, so you can see a huge independent distributors' base in various parts of Malaysia.

Riway 2012 revenue is some $300M SGD and forecast to $600M SGD revenue for this year 2013. Proven that you are not the 1st one consuming it.

The company is MLM or multi level marketing based in sales format. But if you compare common MLM concepts, Riway is not MLM.. why? The explanation is below:-

To create a membership acct with Riway, in Sing is SGD 3688, Malaysia RM8888, Indonesia Rp28,888,000 and Taiwan NT$85,880.

-The membership acct of Sing RM8888 includes a full therapy session of 6 months worth of purtier placenta, namely 7 boxes of 14 bottles in total. The recommended dosage is 2 capsules per day in the morning (when you wake up), and 2 capsules per day at night (before you sleep) for the first month and subsequently 1 capsules per day in the morning (when you wake up), and 1 capsules per day at night (before you sleep). thereafter. As different ppl have diff health issues and capacities to receive supplement aid, the dosage can be taken as little as 1 capsule per week, or as many as 6 - 8 capsules per day!

The product is a supplement, so there is no when and where it can be taken. The irony is that it is to be taken an hour before or after you consume any medicine or drugs because we do not want the drugs/medicine to degrade the purtier capsules!!! Personally, I had taken the capsules at many different intervals of the day and really, it does not matter. The gist for taking it in the morning is to create a possible better effect, but again that is subject to individual's lifestyles and health state.

-This payment of RM 8888 is a one time and infinite membership till d day u pass away. And thereafter, your membership is passed on to your kin!
-There is no maintenance cost meaning there is no monthly requirement to clock sales.
-There is business opportunity as there is a multi tier downline possibility of infinite returns.
- All members can call upon each other to support the role of presenter as this creates a family support without conflicts. Meaning for those who cant talk like a pro, there is always someone to handle this area and makes selling easy-peesy.

The 9 ingredients for this product called purtier placenta are Deer placenta, Aloe vera, Xanthones, Squalene, Borage oil, Marine collagen, Evening Primrose Oil, Avocado Oil and Lycopene from tomatoes. For explanation of what they do, check out the 9 ingredients of purtier placenta here on this website.

For many members, the privilege to join is due to the fact that we were once patients to various in-curable diseases and purtier placenta permanently healed us. As gratitude, we find that we too want to heal others, and of course, that in, making good money out of that (which I will not deny again).

For me, I was cured of my gout ("niao shuang") with one bottle and now on my 3rd bottle, I am cured of my migrane, my finch hair on my head is spouting baby hair and I dun get mouth ulcers or flu or cough as before I took them ( as I was a weak guy with many illnesses almost every day). My bones are stronger (as I was a lazy fellow which makes my legs weak when climbing stairs!) and I dun feel the pain of my knees anymore too! How crazy is that?!

I must say that on my 3rd bottle, my fingers were feeling gout pain for 2 weeks but they were manageable. The point about pain when you consume any powerful supplements ( mind you I double confirm this from a friend who consumes herbal life supplements as explained also by her), there will be some pain in about 70% of the people who do so and it means the supplement is really working into the body to rid off your toxins and healing your body.

The only issue here is that you have to endure that pain, which I did as it was still manageable for me, and the pain will go off once and for all after a few days! So if you want a healthy young body again, this is a step you have to take.

Those who have no health issues, they will better prevent any health illnesses that are abound on mother Earth!

The testimonials on curing cancers and diabetes and prostrate issues and skin issues and enabling women busts to firm up (yes I know of a real testimonial on that! A to C size!) are all real. Of course, I would say please do not just go and believe me now, but take it with a pinch of salt.

So in the end, I must say this => I will not claim anything about purtier placenta's ability to cure all. Everything I had said are testimonials and that is that.

The best is to go down to our seminars and double confirm yourselves. And then again if you are still skeptical, just get from one of the independent distributors to sell you a bottle to try. But as many people have different health issues and conditions, we still recommend 6 months of complete therapy session of 14 bottles.
Why?
Because it is said that in the later 3rd to 4th month of the therapy session, the capsules containing the placenta is actually bringing the dormant stem cells in your body to "wake up" and work again. You might want to check this theory in google about our stem cells in our human body.

So in the end, you can buy one bottle = RM 666. But it won't really give the full effect of the whole therapy session of 14 bottles.

As to why it is not marketed in hospitals, it is a supplement that is why. But I really do look forward for the day when it becomes a "medicine cure" for doctors too.

For web marketing and putting that info all up => I'll be doing that later. Though I can see I'm abit late as others are already there!

For huge mark up price => yes you can purchase deer placenta for some USD$50 for 30 pills online. But is it safe? Huge differences are obvious as their ingredients only consist of deer placenta and they do not have Singapore General Hospital Certificates like what Purtier has.

The reason for us to be in Riway is that it is an established company of 5 years with many testimonials and growing by the week, and these make it easier for us to convince people about the positive outcome of taking purtier placenta. And also with its locations for goods and support team and ease of getting team presenters to help in presenting the product for your individual customer; Riway is the way to go!

If you want to convince people with cheap products online, there is no one to say you can't. If you succeed, that is fine too. Each into his own.

For certificates of merit and stuff of the product, you can check with the main leader in your respective country as they are controlled copies if I'm not wrong and so you might want to find Riway in your county and find the Big Guy! (leader of the country's team)

For cost wise, as when you are a member, your subsequent packages that you buy have points which corresponds to dollars. This is why you will get cheaper purtier placenta when you buy and buy. But the whole purpose here is to build a downline of strong relationships of people who buy under you so that you can just concentrate on supporting instead of always making sales. The up side is that this product works, so the buying gets easier when people start seeing your testimonials of people that you have helped to cure. 1 bottle = RM 666 ; 1 box of 2 bottles = RM 1368 (for one mth of 2 capsules per day) and 1 package therapy session of complete 6 mths = RM 8888 all in Malaysia Ringgit.

Other than that, I really think everyone here should take Purtier Placenta and Riway International with a pinch of salt and finish all 14 bottles, before you try to say anything... As from the book of secret, if you dun have anything good to say, dun say it then. We are here to help one another. So let's do that. Yes, I'm here on business opportunity too ( I won't deny that. I think I had said this for the 3rd time!).

If you are abroad, you can still locate me through PM me and I'll see what we can do to help you. We have groups abroad too so dun worry. For US and European countries, if you are on bulk purchase of 10s to 100s (1000s of packages bought one shot not allowed to control cost cutting)
If you want to locate your own local independent distributor, by all means do so, we are always more than happy.

For those who really want to cure but have money issues, please find your local distributor. I am sure they will help. For Singapore counterparts, call me.

Many testimonials are not rich people either.

You are always welcome to PM here to know more

Expensive? Please drop by your nearest Pharmacy and check out how much does these 9 ingredients cost individually before you decide its expensive

The 9 ingredients for this product called purtier placenta are Deer placenta, Aloe vera, Xanthones, Squalene, Borage oil, Marine collagen, Evening Primrose Oil, Avocado Oil and Lycopene from tomatoes.

Erectile Dysfunction

Purtier Placenta (Stem Cell Therapy) offers an Alternative Treatment Option for Erectile Dysfunction
Erectile dysfunction, also known as impotence, is an ‘embarrassing’ male disorder that affects 5% of the 40-year-old and above population. Defined as the inability to sustain erection, this form of male sexual dysfunction is common in the elderly, although it is not considered a normal part of aging.
What is Erectile Dysfunction?Erectile dysfunction is a condition in men wherein there is an inability to get or maintain an erection during intercourse. An estimated 50% of males aged 40 to 70 years old are estimated to suffer from erectile dysfunction at some point in time.
Causes of Erectile DysfunctionA variety of health conditions pave the way for erectile dysfunction. Physical causes include:
• Vasculogenic Conditions. Such conditions disturb blood flow to the penis. They include:
o Cardiovascular Diseases or problems of the heart and the blood vessels are some of the foremost factors leading to erectile dysfunction. An example is atherosclerosis or hardening of the arteries.
o Hypertension or high blood pressure.
o Diabetes, or an illness characterized by elevated levels of glucose in the blood, can disrupt supply to the penis.
• Neurogenic Conditions. Such disorders affect the brain, spinal cords and nerves – all of which comprise the nervous system. Examples include:
o Spinal injuries.
o Stroke or Cerebrovascular Accident, wherein blood supply to the brain is disrupted.
o Multiple Sclerosis, a condition that affects balance and movement.
o Parkinson’s Disease, a disorder that affects movements such as writing, talking and walking.
• Hormonal Conditions. Examples of disorders wherein hormone levels are disturbed include:
o Hypogonadism, a disorder wherein levels of testosterone, a male sex hormone, are deranged.
o Hyperthyroidism, wherein excess levels of thyroid hormones are produced.
o Hypothyroidism, wherein there is a deficiency in thyroid hormone production.
o Cushing’s disease, a condition wherein cortisol hormone production is disturbed.
• Anatomical conditions, such as Peyronie’s Disease, a disorder that affects penile tissue.
Several medications are known to cause erectile dysfunction. They are:
• Diuretics
• Anti-hypertensives
• Fibrates
• Corticosteroids
• H2-Antagonists
• Antihistamines
• Anti-androgens
• Cytotoxics
• Anticonvulsants
• Antipsychotics
• Antidepressants
Psychological causes, such as anxiety and depression, can also lead to erectile dysfunction. Excessive alcohol intake, use of illegal drugs and tiredness can also result in impotence.
DiagnosingIn order to diagnose erectile dysfunction, the following diagnostic exams will be recommended by your physician:
• Physical Examination. Your doctor will check your penis and testicles to evaluate sensation.
• Urinalysis. Your urine will be examined to determine underlying health problems, such as diabetes.
• Blood Tests. Samples of your blood will be obtained to check for signs of diabetes, heart disease and low testosterone levels.
• Ultrasound. In this examination, a transducer will be placed on the genital to determine the sufficiency of blood flow to the penis.
• Overnight Erection Test. Most males have erections at night, without them having the slight idea that they had it. To ascertain if erectile dysfunction is brought about by a psychological problem, the doctor will advise you to tape your penis before you go to sleep. If the tape has been separated, psychological causes leading to erectile dysfunction will be considered.
• Psychological Exam. The doctor will screen you for depression and other mental conditions that might result to erectile dysfunction.
Signs and Symptoms of Erectile Dysfunction
The foremost symptom of erectile dysfunction is the inability to get an erection. If you can get an erection during masturbation, but not with your sexual partner, then your erectile dysfunction is likely caused by stress or psychological problems. But if you are unable to get an erection no matter what the circumstance might be, the underlying cause might be physical. For the exact determination of the probable cause, it is best if you sought the advice of a doctor.
PreventionErectile dysfunction can be brought about by a variety of causes. As such, multiple steps need to be undertaken in order to prevent impotence:
• Seek the help of your physician for the management of conditions that might lead to erectile dysfunction, such as heart disease, diabetes mellitus and other health problems.
• Visit your physician regularly and undergo essential screening exams as recommended.
• Undertake measures that can lower your stress levels.
• Exercise regularly.
• Stop smoking.
• Avoid or limit alcohol intake.
• Avoid using illegal drugs and substances.
Conventional Treatment MethodsPhosphodiesterase-5 inhibitors, also known as PDE-5 inhibitors, are the first therapeutic choices for men with erectile dysfunction. They work by enhancing blood flow to the penis. Popular examples of PDE-5 inhibitors include Sildenafil (Viagra), Tadalafil (Cialis) and Vardenafil (Levitra.)
The aforementioned medications work on demand, and should be taken 30 minutes to 1 hour before intercourse. Sildenafil and Vardenafil are effective from the first to tenth hour after taking the drug, while Tadalafil is useful for up to 36 hours after intake.
Before taking PDE-5 inhibitors, you should first seek the guidance of your physician, as it is contraindicated in men with:
• Cardiovascular disease, i.e. Coronary heart disease.
• Anatomical penile problems, such as Peyronie’s disease.
• Alpha-blockers as anti-hypertensive medications.
• Nitrate-containing medications or illegal substances.
• Increased risk for Priapism (prolonged erection.)
Apart from medications, there is an apparatus, called a penis pump, that can be used prior to intercourse. It enables erection by drawing blood into the penis.
Erectile dysfunction can also be addressed with implant surgery. In this procedure, a physician will insert implants that can be inflated by the individual as needed.
Natural CuresWhile PDE-5 inhibitors are commonly prescribed to men with erectile dysfunction, there are complementary or alternative treatments that are said to resolve the issues concerning impotence.
• Acupuncture. This ancient Chinese form of alternative medicine involves the insertion of very fine needles into different pressure points in the body. Said to correct bodily imbalances, many males claim to have been cured by this complementary form of therapy.
• Dehydroepiandrosterone or DHEA. Known to be a safe alternative cure for men with erectile dysfunction, it is known to increase libido in women as well. Its common side effect is acne.
• L-Arginine. This herb helps address erectile dysfunction by dilating the blood vessels, therefore resulting to improved blood flow. Because of said effect, it should NOT be taken with Sildenafil.
• Ginseng. Studies suggest that Ginseng enhances sexual function in men with erectile dysfunction. Safe for short-term use, its common side effect is insomnia.
• Yohimbe. While several clinical trials have been shown to improve sexual dysfunction, it should not be ingested without your physician’s approval. Side effects include anxiety, hypertension and an irregular heart rate.

Alternative Treatment for Breast Cancer

Breast Cancer

Purtier Placenta (Stem Cell Therapy) offers an Alternative Treatment for Breast Cancer
Fact: 1 in 8 women will be afflicted with Breast Cancer throughout the course of their existence.
With this figure, breast cancer is touted as one of the most common – if not one of the most deadliest malignancies in the world. Although this is the case, modern medical marvels and new biotechnologies are helping patients live longer and survive a cancer-free life.
An Overview: What is Breast Cancer?Breast cancer is defined as the uncontrollable growth and division of breast cells. Some tumors grow slowly – the growth might take a decade before the lump can be felt – while some can develop at a faster rate.
There are several types of breast cancer. They are:
  1. Ductal Carcinoma – The most common type of breast cancer, it affects the lining of the milk ducts, which are the passageways that bring milk to the nipples from the lobules.
  2. Lobular Carcinoma – Affects the milk glands or the lobules.
  3. Inflammatory Breast Cancer – A rare type of breast malignancy, it is devoid of the usual tumor. Instead, symptoms include a reddened, warm and pitted breast (likened to the appearance of an ‘orange peel.’)
  4. Triple Negative Breast Cancer – A more potent type of breast cancer, it is characterized by the lack of progesterone and estrogen receptors, as well as the deficiency of the usual excessive HER2 protein receptors found in most cases.
  5. Paget Disease of the Breast – A malignancy that originates in the breast ducts and spreads to the skin and the areola of the nipple.
  6. Phyllodes Tumor – A rare (usually benign) tumor that originates from the breast connective tissues, also known as the stroma.
While breast cancer is often found in women, it occurs in men as well. Rare as it might be, 1% of the affected population comprises of male patients.
CausesEven with the wealth of medical research, the fact of the matter is the mechanism of breast cancer is still not fully understood. The cause of breast malignancies remains unknown, but there are risk factors that can be attributed to the development of the said cancer:
  1. Age – The risk of developing breast cancer increases with age. It commonly occurs in women aged 50 above, as well as those who have already undergone menopause.
  2. Family Tendency – If you have relatives who have been diagnosed with ovarian or breast malignancies, you have a higher chance of developing breast cancer. Cancer-causing genes such as BRCA1, BRCA2 and TP53 can be passed through generations.
  3. Previous Benign Breast Tumor – Former benign breast lumps can develop into malignant tumors.
  4. Increased Breast Density – Women with denser breast tissue have an increased risk of developing breast cancer, since there are more cells that can become cancerous.
  5. Exposure to Estrogen – Early menarche and late menopause, nulliparity (no children) and childbirth at later years increases estrogen exposure, and these can lead to breast cancer.
  6. Obesity
  7. Tallness
  8. Increased Alcohol Intake
  9. Exposure to Radiation
  10. Hormone Therapy Replacement
DiagnosingBreast cancer can be definitely diagnosed through the following diagnostic tests:
  • Breast self-exam – A diagnostic test which you can perform by yourself.
  • Clinical breast exam – An exam carried out by a health professional, usually done in women aged 20 and above.
  • Mammogram – An x-ray test that visualizes breast tissue changes and growth.
  • Breast Ultrasound – An exam that determines if a lump is a cyst or a fluid-filled non-cancerous sac.
  • Breast Biopsy – A procedure that involves the removal of a breast lump to determine if it is cancer.
  • Minimally Invasive Breast Biopsy – An exam that uses needle to aspirate cells which are suspected to be cancerous.
  • Sentinel Node Biopsy – A test that checks arm lymph nodes, to check if cancer cells have spread throughout the body.
  • Ductal Lavage – An exam that checks the presence of precancerous cells in the milk ducts.
Signs and Symptoms of Breast CancerThe early stages of breast cancer are usually without symptoms, but as the malignancy progresses, you may notice or feel the following signs and symptoms:
  • A breast/underarm lump that continues even after menstruation. Some are painless, while some can feel prickly
  • Tenderness/pain in the affected breast
  • Breast indentation or flattening
  • Change in breast texture, contour, size or temperature
  • Nipple changes such as itching, retraction, dimpling, ulceration or burning sensation
  • Nipple discharge (clear or bloody)
  • Marbling underneath the breast skin
  • Noticeably different skin compared to other areas of the breast
  • Armpit inflammation
PreventionPreventing breast cancer can be done by eliminating the risk factors and limiting the activities that are said to cause the aforementioned malignancy.
  1. Keep a healthy weight.
  2. Exercise regularly.
  3. Drink alcohol moderately.
  4. Undergo regular breast screening.
  5. Limit the use of postmenopausal hormone therapy.
  6. Take preventive medications such as tamoxifen and raloxifene, which are estrogen-blocking drugs.
  7. Undergo preventive surgery, such as prophylactic mastectomy or oophorectomy.
Conventional Treatment MethodsSuch treatments can eliminate all cancer cells and prevent such cells from returning:
  1. Surgeries such as lumpectomies or mastectomies.
  2. Radiation therapy, which utilizes radiation to kill cancer cells and halt cell growth and division.
  3. Chemotherapy, which makes use of medications to destroy cancer cells.
  4. Hormone therapy or Endocrine therapy, or the use of drugs that prevent estrogen from enabling the regrowth of breast cancer cells.
  5. Biological therapy, or the use of drugs that makes use of one’s immunity in order to kill breast cancer cells.
Natural CuresComplementary and alternative medicine do not offer definite breast cancer treatment, although some practices help bring relief from symptoms and therapy-associated side effects. Examples include:
  1. Acupuncture – An oriental form of natural therapy that decreases the incidence of hot flashes, as well as pain, vomiting and fatigue.
  2. Qigong – An adjunct treatment that helps relieve the uncomfortable symptoms associated with advanced breast cancer.
  3. Tai Chi – A complementary form of medicine that enhances the patient’s well-being, quality of life and self-esteem.
  4. Reiki – A form of Japanese alternative therapy that involves the manipulation of bioenergy. According to most users, it promotes relaxation and reduces painful sensations associated with breast cancer.
  5. Yoga – Gentle forms of yoga are said to improve quality of life, vitality and energy.
  6. Antioxidants such as Vitamin C, Vitamin E and Coenzyme Q10.

An Alternative Treatment for Parkinson’s Diseases

Parkinson’s Disease

- An Alternative Treatment for Parkinson’s DiseasesKnown as one of the most common nervous system disorders in the world, Parkinson’s Disease affects approximately 7 to 10 million individuals across the globe. In fact, a lot of famous people suffer from this condition – from boxing great Muhammad Ali to “Back to the Future” star Michael J. Fox.
An Overview: What is Parkinson’s Disease?Parkinson’s Disease is a neurological condition that arises from the slow degradation of midbrain nerve cells that govern bodily movement.
Body movements are controlled by the basal ganglia, whose nerve cells depend on a delicate balance of dopamine and acetylcholine – neurotransmitters essential for nerve impulse transmission. In Parkinson’s, dopamine-producing cells degenerate gradually, leading to an imbalance of the said neurotransmitters.
Parkinson’s develops progressively, and usually worsens with time. It typically affects individuals aged 50 to 65, affecting about 1% of the population. Although this is the case, the disease can manifest in earlier ages, as with the case of Michael J. Fox, who was diagnosed at age 42.
As for prevalence, Parkinson’s is more common in men than in women. The combined direct and indirect costs of this disease is said to be a whopping $25 billion annually, in the United States Alone.
There is no known cure for Parkinson’s, although its signs and symptoms can be treated with certain medications.
CausesParkinson’s is said to be caused by a variety of factors, such as:
  • Genetic predisposition
  • Viral infections
  • Stroke
  • Brain Tumor
  • Brain Encephalitis caused by infection
  • Hydrocephalus (excess fluid around the brain)
  • Thyroid and parathyroid illnesses
  • Exposure to toxins, such as metal manganese, carbon monoxide and pesticides
  • Adverse reactions to prescription medications
  • Use of illegal drugs
  • Repeated head injury
While there are many mechanisms behind Parkinson’s, the cause for most cases remains to be unknown.
DiagnosisThere are no definitive diagnostic examinations for Parkinson’s Disease, although several physicians (especially expert Neurologists) identify the disorder with the help of the following evaluation tools and imagery tests:
  • Medical History
The physician will conduct a thorough medical history of the patient. Questions to be included are the following:
  • Relatives who have been afflicted with Parkinson’s
  • Medications taken
  • Exposure to toxins, if any
  • History of repeated head trauma
  • Neurological Exam
The doctor will conduct a neurological exam to evaluate the patient’s walking, coordination, and fine motor skills.
  • Hoehn and Yahr Scale
Published in 1967 in the journal “Neurology,” the Hoehn and Yahr Scale is a system used to describe the progression of the symptoms of Parkinson’s Disease. It ranges from stage 1 (minimal or no functional disability) to stage 5 (bedridden or wheelchair-bound.)
  • CT Scan
With the use of X-rays that yield images of the brain, a CT scan can help the doctor diagnose the presence of Parkinson’s disease in the patient.
  • PET Scan
The physician recommends a PET scan for the assessment of brain regions associated with movement.
  • MRI
Also known as magnetic resonance imaging, MRI is a valuable tool that yields clear images of a person’s brain. It is utilized to determine the presence of Parkinson-related changes in the brain.
Signs and Symptoms of Parkinson’s DiseaseThe signs and symptoms of this disease vary according individuals, as well as the stage of the disorder. The most common symptoms, however, are the following:
  • Resting tremors. Tremors, or shaking of the arms, hands or legs, that manifest when the individual is standing or sitting still. It usually subsides when the person moves about.
  • Rigid, aching stiff muscles of the face, neck or legs. One of the first symptoms of Parkinson’s is a reduced arm swing when walking, which usually affects one side of the body.
  • Bradykinesia, or slow, limited movements. This is often manifested when the individual mobilizes from a resting position.
  • Muscle weakness, especially of the face or throat. A Parkinson’s-afflicted individual often demonstrates difficulties in talking and swallowing. As a result, he often ends up drooling, choking and coughing. He also might exhibit tedious and softer speech. Such individuals often have vacant and fixed facial expressions, also known as “Parkinson’s Mask.”
  • Gait disturbance or difficulty walking. A person with Parkinson’s usually takes small steps and shuffles with his feet placed close to each other.
  • Postural variability. A Parkinson’s-afflicted individual usually demonstrates a stooped posture, where he is slightly bent over the waste.
PreventionWhile there is no proven way to prevent the development of Parkinson’s Disease, researchers suggest that the consumption of a Mediterranean diet, which constitutes fish, high-fiber food, fruits and vegetables can provide some degree of protection from the disease. Other studies also suggest that a diet low in dairy and red meat can help lower the risks of developing Parkinson’s.
Conventional Treatment MethodsWhile there are no treatments for Parkinson’s, there are medications that can address the signs and symptoms. They are:
  • Carbidopa-Levodopa. Known as the most effective drug for Parkinson symptoms, this drug contains Levidopa, which is altered to dopamine when it reaches the brain.  It is paired with carbidopa, which prevents the early conversion of Levodopa to dopamine outside of the brain. Carbidopa also averts nausea, a side effect that comes with the medication.
  • Amantadine. A drug that provides short-term relief from symptoms of early-stage Parkinson’s. It is also prescribed to patients with Late-Stage Parkinson’s, as it can curtail the dyskinesia or involuntary movements that result from prolonged Carbidopa-Levidopa use.
  • Dopamine Agonists. Such medications, including Ropinirole and Pramipexole, imitate the effects of dopamine on the brain.
  • Catechol O-Methyltransferase (COMT) Inhibitors. Used in conjunction with Levodopa, COMT inhibitors block the enzyme that breaks down the said medication. Examples include Tolcapone and Entacapone.
  • MAO B Inhibitors. These drugs inhibit monoamine oxidase B, an enzyme that utilizes brain dopamine. Examples include Selegiline and Rasagiline.
  • Anticholinergics. Medications such as Trihexyphenidyl and Benztropine work by managing Parkinson’s-related tremors.
A novel form of surgical treatment has also been introduced to patients with Parkinson’s. The procedure, known as Deep Brain Stimulation, includes the placement of electrodes in several parts of the brain. The electrodes are linked to a chest generator. This generator, in turn, sends electrical pulses that can minimize the symptoms of Parkinson’s Disease.
Natural CuresApart from pharmacologic treatments, there are several natural cures that are said to be effective in minimizing the symptoms of Parkinson’s. They are:
  • Coenzyme Q10. This fat-soluble compound is said to be effective in individuals suffering from early-stage Parkinson’s.
  • Massage. Known to promote relaxation, massage is an effective method of reducing tension and movement problems related to the disease.
  • Tai Chi. This ancient form of Chinese exercise is said to enhance muscle strength, balance and flexibility in patients with Parkinson’s.
  • Music Therapy. Another form of relaxation, music therapy is said to help individuals with difficulties in speaking and walking.

Alternative Treatment Option for Leukemia/Blood Cancer

Leukemia/Blood Cancer

Purtier Placenta (Stem Cell Therapy) offers an Alternative Treatment Option for Leukemia/Blood Cancer
Blood Cancer is a malignancy that affects the creation and purpose of the blood cells. There are three types of blood cancers, and the most common of them all is Leukemia. Characterized by the fast reproduction of abnormal white blood cells, it leads to an inability to ward off most infections. It causes difficulty in the production of platelets and red blood cells as well.

Overview on diseases/illnesses: What is Leukemia?Leukemia is a blood cancer that originates in the bone marrow. This soft tissue, which is lodged inside the bones, is where the blood cells (white blood cells, platelets and red blood cells) are made.
In Leukemia, the body produces abnormal white blood cells, also known as leukemia cells. Unlike healthy cells, they proliferate rapidly and do not stop growing when they should. Throughout time, leukemia cells outnumber healthy cells, causing the symptoms brought about by this cancer.
Leukemia has different types. The most common types are:
  1. Acute Myeloid Leukemia – a fast-developing malignancy that affects the myeloid cells.
  2. Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia – a malignancy that grows quickly; affects the lymphoid cells.
  3. Chronic Myeloid Leukemia – a slow-growing cancer that concern the myeloid cells.
  4. Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia – grows slowly and disturbs the lymphoid cells.
CausesUp to now, experts are clueless as to what causes leukemia. However, the following risk factors increase one’s chances of developing leukemia:
  • Smoking
  • Previous chemotherapy for other types of cancer
  • Exposure to viruses
  • Exposure to chemicals such as benzene
  • Exposure to radiation
  • Family history of Leukemia
  • Genetic disorders such as Down’s Syndrome
DiagnosingThe following diagnostic tests help your doctor diagnose the leukemia that you have, as well as the treatment options that suit your condition.
  1. Complete Blood Cell Count – an exam done to check the number, size and maturity of different blood cells.
  2. X-Ray – a diagnostic test that visualizes bones, organs and other internal structures.
  3. Computed Tomography Scan – a procedure that uses computer technology and X-ray to show detailed images of the bones, organs and other parts of the body.
  4. Ultrasound – a procedure that makes use of sound waves to come up with images of organs, tissues and blood vessels.
  5. Lymph Node Biopsy – a test that involves the procurement of cells/tissues for careful examination under the microscope.
  6. Bone Marrow Aspiration – involves the aspiration of bone marrow fluid.
  7. Bone Marrow Biopsy – also known as core biopsy, it involves the collection of bone marrow tissue from the hip bone.
Signs and Symptoms of LeukemiaSymptoms vary depending on the leukemia you have. However, the following prove to be the most common symptoms in afflicted individuals:
  • Fever
  • Night Sweats
  • Headaches
  • Easy bruising or bleeding
  • Swollen gums
  • Joint/bone pain
  • Inflamed, painful belly (resulting from an enlarged spleen)
  • Swollen lymph nodes in the groin, neck or armpit
  • Develops numerous infections
  • Weakness or body malaise
  • Weight loss
  • Loss of appetite
  • Anemia
  • Petechial or small red dots on the skin brought about by tiny bleeds
Other symptoms associated with leukemia are the following:
  • Headaches
  • Seizures
  • Confusion
  • Vomiting
  • Loss of muscle control
  • Swollen testicles
  • Eye or skin sores
PreventionThere is no clear or proven way to prevent the development or relapse leukemia. However, limiting your exposure to risk factors such as chemotherapy, benzene and radiation can help lower your chances of acquiring leukemia.
Most importantly, limiting smoke/tobacco use can significantly decrease one’s chances of developing Acute Myelogenous Leukemia.
Conventional Treatment MethodsLeukemia treatment is carried out with the purpose of killing leukemia cells and helping normal cells develop in the bone marrow. Treatment for the said blood cancer varies, depending on the individual’s condition, age and over-all state of health.
  1. Chemotherapy
Recommended for patients with acute leukemias, chemotherapy involves the use of medications to ward off cancer. Individuals receive chemotherapy during various stages:
  • Induction – this aims to kill the leukemia cells present in the blood stream. Chemotherapy during induction forces remission as well.
  • Consolidation – the objective is to kill the leukemia cells that may be present in the body but do not appear in tests and exams.
  • Maintenance – makes use of lower doses of chemotherapeutic agents in order to prevent leukemia cells from growing. Often recommended in patients with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia.

  1. Radiation Therapy
Radiation therapy makes use of high doses of X-ray and other forms of radiation to kill and inhibit the growth of leukemia cells. Radiation is delivered through a machine that focuses radiation to the cancerous areas.

  1. Targeted Therapy
This treatment makes use of certain drugs that inhibit the growth of leukemia cells. Individuals with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia and Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia are often prescribed this therapy.

  1. Stem Cell Therapy
A procedure prescribed for patients with high-risk acute leukemia. It involves the donation of stem cells from another person in order to destroy the existing cells in the bone marrow and replace them with the cells of the healthy donor.

  1. Watchful Waiting
A treatment often suggested in patients with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia, watchful waiting involves the postponing of treatment until symptoms appear. The objective of watchful waiting is to delay the unpleasant side effects of the therapy. In watchful waiting, you will undergo blood tests and examinations every 3 to 6 months in order to monitor the development of the disease.
Natural RemedyHere are some alternative and complementary therapies that are said to fight off leukemia:
  1. Green Tea Extract
According to several studies, green tea extract is effective in treating chronic lymphocytic leukemia. It contains the compound EGCG, which is said to be potent in extinguishing leukemia cells.
Studies show that individuals who took capsules of green tea extract demonstrated fewer signs of the disease, including smaller lymph nodes and a decreased count of leukemia cells, according to blood exams.
  1. Sulforaphane
A compound found in broccoli and cauliflower, sulforaphane is said to be an effective natural remedy for leukemia. According to studies, it modifies gene expression, therefore lowering a person’s risk of contracting leukemia and other cancers.
It is also recommended in patients with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, a common malignancy in children. Sulforaphane helps cure the said cancer by penetrating the leukemia cells, therefore inhibiting the proteins needed for cell growth and proliferation.
